Teacher Craft Night

The new school year is bringing many new faces to the Kindergarten team. I invited my new team as well as the first grade team and more school friends over for a craft night and some team bonding!

We had a blast crafting, snacking, and chatting together.

I love spending time with girlfriends and making the time to do the things that we love. We shared so much laughter last night and it brought me joy.

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera out for much of the evening so not everyone is pictured. :(
But here are a few snapshots that I did get. Next time I''m going to be better about picture taking!

I'm looking forward to more nights of crafting!

I really do!!

Beautiful Messes

Remember that big ol beautiful Valentine craft table mess?

Well I've cleaned her up and gotten busy on some new projects!

Now I have a new pretty little mess!

Most of my projects are secrets because they are special surprises but I can give
you a hint of what's going on in my craft jungle.

We've got glitter clips:
Which I am totally loving... what else can I use clothespins for?
 and baby shower projects
gotta love the silhouette!
and wood piece projects

I'll show you how all these end up soon!

But right now I have to go work on schoolwork...
my multicultural education class is keeping me on my toes!

Fresh look!

Over the weekend, I put a lot of time into my room redo. Chalon also put in quite a bit of time!

We are getting very close to being finished but there are a few places still lacking paint.

However, I can give you a few glimpses into what we completed this weekend!

I'm not really a stuffed animal kind of girl.
But this pig smells like lavender and you can heat him in the microwave.
I love him and he's not going anywhere!

See those green walls back there? That's the not finished part!

I still love my quilt.

This quilt was my old favorite. I still love her very much so I'm keeping her close!

I've added a little more junk to the desk shelves!

Moved the rocking chair back in!
I want some sheers for the windows to let in some light.
So I'll be on the lookout for those!

I am really liking the it. The grey walls are so calm. They balance all the colors throughout.

I thought this redo would take longer since I needed to find a new piece of furniture for my TV. But today I was determined to find something when I realized that I didn't need to look any further my own backyard.

This rusty piece was a gift from a friend a few years ago. It has been in my living room, in my kitchen, in the backyard as a potting bench, and now in my bedroom! I have no idea what it's original purpose really was. When I first got it, there were casters on the bottom that I removed. Talk about multi-purpose furniture!

A Homemade White Christmas

Last night I made snowflakes in bed...

And today I found the perfect place for them! :)

A Place to Create!

I've dreamt of having a craft room for as long as I can remember. Recently, I threw a few things from around the house into the extra bedroom to make myself a craft of my very own! I am loving it! It's nothing special but having that place to get messy and leave messy is wonderful!

Right now I'm having fun making these little monsters!

Who knows what project will come next! But I know where I'll be working on it! :)

Craft Time!

Being out of school without a job has left me much time for crafting!

I am finally doing some projects that have been on my mind for a while!

I made this jewelry holder from an old frame and branches from Austin!

Idea from here!

I saw these paper bag flowers on Martha Stewart.com and had to try them! So easy! Perfect for a party... or in my case, your bedroom!

Idea from here!

Then to free up some counter space in my bathroom, I added magnets to the backs of my makeup to hang them on a tray Mamaw gave me a few weeks ago!

Idea from here!

bringing a lil luck to the living room!

So yesterday morning I was getting bored so I decided to go hit up a few of the dollar store around town! A great way to pass the time, if you ask me! I found a few things for school, and a few things I'm going to give Chalon for his birthday, but the things I was most excited about are these:

A vase, can of spray paint, and frame... each were a dollar. And they were also my inspiration for a little St. Patrick's day decorating!

Don't they look fancy in greenish blue?

I know my spray painting skills could use some help but I still think they turned out alright!

After I painted those, I used a lil spray glue and glitter to add some sparkle to shamrocks I printed off.

It took all of about ten minutes to create 10 little sparklin' shamrocks!

I hung them on my ornament tree... except for the one that I framed in my new fancy frame!

I'm quite pleased with the way my $3 decor turned out!
