Cheepers

Scott, one of our darling neighbors, has a new project for the summer. He is raising quail. I absolutely hate birds. (I had a bad experience at the Dallas World Aquarium... traumatizing to say the least. Just ask my mom. She tells the story best!) But I must say I really like Scott's birds. I think it's because they don't fly much. They just walk around. It's like having another pet. Every morning when I take Jackson outside, I love to walk over and tell them good morning! They are always so perky!

Here they are the first day that he got them:

Since then, he has built a very nice home for them.

And I decorated it a little bit by adding a sign!

They have only been here for about two weeks but they are growing fast!

The only problem is Jackson's "interest" in them. He can't be trusted alone with the birds.

I'm anxious for them to get bigger so they'll have pretty feathers and lay eggs. That'll be fun!
