Although I didn't intend to go without blogging for a full semester, it has happened! :)
This semester has been very busy! It was my first semester as a senior at Texas A&M. This semester required me to spend 16 hours per week or 2 days in the elementary school. I was given the opportunity to meet 16 wonderful 5 and 6 year olds!

I was placed in a Kindergarten classroom. I really enjoyed being with the kids. Each week I also spent one day on campus attending university classes. Many weeks I wished I could just go back to their class instead of mine!
With a little help from their teacher, the kids each wrote a short note to wish me well and tell me their favorite thing about me. It was a very special gift and will definitely be something that I keep for many years to remember where my teaching career began!
The experience really helped me to realize that I am in the right spot for me! I love the kids, the classroom, the planning, the crayons, the books, the routine, just everything! Being there each day made me very anxious to have a classroom of my own!
And the best news is that I will be with these same students for my Student Teaching, which I'll be completing next semester!
