Soap Making!

So last week, I was really feelin' the crafts! I even decided to make some soap which I have wanted to do for a while now.

I picked up most of the supplies from Hobby Lobby but also added in some essential oils and aloe vera from here at home...

I got started by melting the glycerin soap that I purchased:

I was hesitant at first but began by coloring and adding fragrance to the glycerin, then pouring it into these heart molds.

Then I got a little more risky and added some dried lavender to the purple ones.

Then I started to feel more confident so I began swirling the colors.

I was pretty proud of my work!

I thought my first soap making experience went pretty well!

So I wrapped up a few to give to my favorite teacher! :)
