Chalon's sister, Haley, has begun growing wheatgrass at her house and juicing it for wheatgrass shots each day. She posted some really great pictures of the process on her facebook:
It only took a few days of reading her posts about all the benefits the juice provides to catch my attention! I went over to Jamba Juice for a few days in a row to take a wheatgrass shot each day so I could taste it and experience the benefits myself. I was surprised to find that it is very sweet and really not too bad. I was not really feeling well those days and found that I got over my sore throat and headache after only two days of drinking it. I also found that my energy levels were through the roof! I hadn't really expected to feel much effects only drinking it for a few days but I truly felt like it was effective in raising my energy levels.
So I ordered my own juicer and wheat grass seeds that came in earlier this week!

She has many indoor gardening kits and things for purchase.
I also purchased aqua beads from her that can be used in place of soil. They are small particles that absorb water and grow to 300x their size. (you can see in the following pictures). I really chose to do it this way just for fun. I thought it would be neat to see the roots grow through the beads.
I planted my seeds on Wednesday the 2nd.
Today is Saturday the 5th and this is where we're at:
I'm excited to watch the growth over the next few days!
Hopefully I'll be able to drink some next week!
