I am from the Dallas area and this week all my teacher friends up there have been
out of school nearly all week because of snow!
I was beginning to get a little jealous.
But finally on Friday... we got a snow day!
It was a great surprise to have a day off. Chalon was also off from work so we
spent the day doing not much of anything.
Earlier this week I found a bunch of felt in the attic that I forgot I had.
I decided today was the day to do something with it!
(ignore the mess. i won't lie... it typically looks like this around here)
The first thing I made was a scrunched felt heart (I made that name up).
I began with the cardboard box my wheatgrass seeds
came in and cut a heart out of it.
Then I cut out 3 in circles from red felt, put a dot of hot glue in the center,
scrunched them, and used a clothespin to hold until they were dry.

Then glued them on the cardboard!
And voila! A scrunched felt heart!

Next I started working on some felt flowers.
These were so easy to make... now I have about twenty-five of them!
I plan to wear them in my hair and on my shoes...
In the mean tine, Chalon was being a little irritating so
I threatened him with my glue gun!
