They are both pretty great!
So for a while I have wanted to paint my front door but I couldn't make up my mind. Yesterday evening I decided that it was the day to paint the front door. I made a run to wal-mart and make a quick decision on a light blue. When I got home I got right to work!
I worked on the door for a while and then we made a grocery run. While we were out, we went by Blockbuster. They were running a 50 cent rental special so we got a bunch!
Chalon let me choose all but one!
For dinner, I made this cheesy chicken and rice bake that I found on pinterest:
It was yummy and easy! We will have it again for sure!
(That's not my pic... but mine did look similar!)

I also whipped up some smoothies to take for breakfast and lunch. I saw a blogger that did this for her daughter and I thought that sounded like a great idea. I haven't been eating enough fruit lately so I think this will be a good habit to get in. Plus I do love smoothies! :)
After dinner I got back to work on my door and finished it up!
Of course I was anxious to take pics so they are in the dark and not very pretty!
So if you come over at nighttime, you will arrive to this.
I am in love with it! I keep going outside just to look at it again! :)
And when you come inside, you will see that I decorated for Christmas today as well as be greeted by darling Jackson (whose face does not photograph very well!)
The tree is up!
Complete with the dinosaur ornament on top, per Chalon's request.
The pink tree is up in the craft room and desperately needs a topper!
Frosty is out!
And the fairies are hung!
Chalon commented earlier that he was feeling more festive already so I think my job is done!
I bought a whole gallon of the blue paint I got for the door because I liked the color. So when I finished with the door, I had plenty left over so I started in on the bathroom and just finished in there a few hours ago. I'm loving it. I usually never go in this front bathroom but I think it will be visited more now!
It has been a very productive weekend and I am ready for a good night of sleep!
I'm looking forward to my short week and Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
