Been a While...

So the weather has been absolutely beautiful for the past two days! I spent the day yesterday out on the back-porch with the neighbor boys while they did "boy things"... throwing balls at each other, putting up a slack line to balance on, drinking beer, playing with jarts, chasing rats, and climbing on the roof. It was very entertaining. And today the sun was out again and my tulips bloomed! :)

I think they're beautiful especially in contrast to the dead hibiscus behind it.

So I interviewed for a new babysitting job tonight. I am very excited about it... and I think I might have mentioned my excitement about the job a few too many times while talking to them. But I can't wait to get started with a new family. I really think it will be fun.

Oh and get this... it snowed last week! Yes... it was freezing three days ago and now my tulips are bloomin' and beautiful.

So when it snowed on Tuesday, classes weren't cancelled because it wasn't actually freezing. It was so strange to be out and about... driving and walking to class... in the snow. I had this misconception that when it snowed in Texas the world stops. And A&M had to ruin this fantasy idea I had! But I must admit it was pretty fun to be amidst the snowman building and snowball fights on campus. So I went to math class and in the middle of class I am getting a call from Chelsie. It worried me because I figured that it meant something bad happened since she knew I was in class and since the weather was bad. So I text her to ask if all was alright and she writes back "Yeah, it's fine. We want you to come play with us." I nearly laughed out loud being that I was sitting in a 300 level Mathematics course at a university. But I must say as soon as class let us out... I rushed home so I could play!

We went with the neighbors over to Wolf Pen Creek Park so we could slide down "the big hill" in storage boxes. It didn't really work and we came home! It was fun though!

So another big thing that happened this week was the Chilifest ticket campout. Lauren and I camped out on the side of Marion Pugh Rd. on our lawn chairs to ensure our team a spot at the biggest party of the year!

I'd like to add that it was 40 degrees outside! And it rained on us in the morning! But all is well because... we're goin to chilifest!

So one of my new year's resolutions was to spend more time with Jackson, my dog. In an attempt to make the time we spend together of the best quality I have been studying this book.

It turns out that it's actually quite hard to interpret what a dog is trying to "say" as well as to communicate what you would like them to understand. But I will continue to try!

Also on the top of my book basket right now are these "Abs Diet" books. My trainer recommended them and I love them!

I don't really plan to get a six pack or anything but I am attempting to follow the nutrition plan. Definitely not easy... especially when you're a college student waiting for that allowance so you can go to the grocery store!
