So yesterday the time came to go drop Jackson off... he would not go out the front door! He had watched me pack my bags to go and therefore was anxious about what we were doing! I had to trick him by saying we were going to the dog park to get him to come out and get in the car! I felt so bad. When I got in the car I just broke down. I felt terrible about leaving him and knew I was really going to miss him.
(Jackson in the back seat)When we got to Melody and Jesse's (where he's staying), I had to pull it together so they wouldn't think I was crazy! He was nervous at first but quickly started exploring and getting aquainted with their home and dog. They were very understanding of my anxiety about leaving him and were very sweet to calm my nerves. I know he's in excellent hands and is enjoying the company of another dog... but man do I miss him! I can't believe I love a dog so much!
So after dropping Jackson off, I headed to Hobby airport in Houston... but not without a pit stop at the outlet mall on the way! When I got to the airport I ended up having to park far away. I've travelled alone quite a few times so it doesn't bother me much but this parking lot was a little sketch to me! There wasn't a soul in sight! I had to call mom to talk to me as I walked in!
It was a short trek up to the airport but I made it! When I got to the baggage check in, my bag was 5 pounds too heavy! (and of course I just switched to the smallest of my purses so I couldn't just shift a few things). After making me feel like a dumb girl that always has to bring too much stuff along, the guy at the counter finally decided he thought he could help. He took one of the gigantic plastic bags that they put the strollers or golf bags in when they get checked and cut it off to make a bag just the right size to put all my jeans in! I was very thankful that he was willing to help. For a little while, I thought I was headed back out to the car to unload some things! I was so nervous that they were all going to end up lost... but they didnt! I was so relieved when they appeared on the luggage converyor! Thank goodness!
Last night we went to dinner and met up with Mom's friend, Cindy, at a piano bar afterwards. It was fun but I was definitely ready for bed when we got home!
Last night I met mom's dog, Bella, for the first time. She is so sweet. Her demeanor is very much like Jackson. They are both skiddish, sensitive, needy, but altogether wonderful! Mom and I agree they likely act similar because of the experiences they had before we owned them since they are both from the dog shelter. I slept with Miss Bella last night and she certainly eases my anxiety about being away from Jack Jack.
I brought mom a new Mark Roberts fairy just for being my mom. (She collects them) This one is the Bird's Nest fairy with a little nest and eggs for a hat. He fits in just right here and is fun to take pictures of!

Mom and I had a very lazy day today... and I loved it! This morning we watched The Hangover (which I hadn't seen yet) and it was very funny! Then we watched old home videos. They spanned from when I was born to my second birthday. Many of them I had never seen before. I really enjoyed watching those with mom. Then we watched Chocolat. I had never seen it either. I loved it! I think it makes the list of my favorites. I took a shower this morning but didn't get dressed after, just jumped back into my pajamas! So when Lauri called this evening to go eat dinner, Mom and I both had to get dressed for the first time today at 7pm! I definitely have not had a pajama day like this in a while! Oh the joys of Spring Break! :)
Well... I'm headed to snuggle up with Bella!
