So I'm going out of order but another fun weekend in April was Easter weekend. I went home to Pilot Point to spend time with family.
It was just a week before my birthday so when I got home there was a special birthday surprise waiting for me on the kitchen table! Dad insisted that I wait until we got over to Tyler and Ashley's house to open as it was a gift from everyone!
It was hard to wait... but well worth it!
I finally got an iPhone! :)
I had been waiting for this day for some time now! Thanks Mom, Dad, Tyler and Ashley!
On the Saturday before Easter, we celebrated over at Mamaw and Papaw's house. The kids, Papaw, and I had a lot of fun dying eggs!
The kids were so funny. Of course the egg dying was fun but the boys had a better idea... throwing the eggs on the concrete. So much more fun! :)
Caroline was not impressed with Papaw's eggs dying skills and kept telling him that he was making a "huge mess"! :)
After all the eggs were finished, I was looking at all of the and found one marked with "Johnny". Well, we don't have a Johnny in our family so I inquired about the egg. It turns out that Madalyn has a Johnny in her class at school! But she also had a pet rat named Johnny once (he's dead now) and she claims the egg was for the rat! :)
Mamaw cooked a feast for lunch and the kids hunted eggs...
Then it was time for the birthday celebration! Papaw and Madalyn also have April birthdays.
We had to relight the candles a few times so Caroline could have a turn blowing them out! :)
On Easter Sunday, Dad and I went to church. After church we headed to Nana's for more food and egg hunting!
After the kids had opened all of their eggs, we broke out the bubbles!
