I always dread the drive to and from Pilot Point. It's only about 3 1/2 hours but it can get pretty lonely! Although most of the drive is monotonous, there are a few parts that I like. First there are the fields of wildflowers by the highway. I always want to drive a little slower through those! I know it's not safe, but I had to snap a quick picture as I drove by.
But the best part is when I am about two miles from home. I just love to drive about 15 mph and look at the trees, horses, and same old houses that have been there for years. It's hard to believe that just four years ago I blazed through the very same place without noticing anything special. Now I really appreciate where I come from! :)
